Retraction Policy

The Journal of Mountain Research (JMR) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. Articles may be retracted when serious issues are identified that affect the validity, originality, or ethical standards of the published work.

Reasons for Retraction

JMR may retract an article in cases involving:

• Fabrication or falsification of data, results, or research findings.
• Plagiarism or significant duplication of previously published work.
• Unethical research practices or violation of ethical approval requirements.
• Major errors that invalidate the conclusions of the article.
• Fraudulent authorship, peer-review manipulation, or other forms of publication misconduct.

Retraction Process

• Concerns regarding a published article may be reported by readers, authors, reviewers, editors, or institutions.
• The Editor will conduct a fair and confidential investigation according to journal policies and COPE recommendations.
• Authors and relevant parties will be given an opportunity to respond to allegations.
• A final decision regarding retraction will be made based on available evidence.

Retraction Notice

When an article is retracted, JMR will publish a clear retraction notice explaining the reason for retraction. The original article will remain accessible with a prominent retraction label to maintain transparency and preserve the scholarly record.

Post-Retraction Updates

Retracted articles will not be considered valid sources of scientific information. Any further actions, including corrections or updates, will be handled according to the journal’s ethical policies.

Ethical Compliance

JMR follows the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for retraction procedures and the responsible management of published research.
