Corrections Policy

The Journal of Mountain Research (JMR) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the published scientific record. The journal publishes corrections when errors are identified that affect the accuracy, interpretation, or understanding of published articles.

Purpose of Corrections

Corrections are issued to ensure transparency and to maintain the integrity of published articles. Minor errors that do not affect the scientific content may not require a formal correction.

Types of Corrections

• Author Correction: Issued when authors identify errors or omissions in their published article that require correction.
• Publisher Correction: Issued when errors are introduced during the publication process.
• Corrigendum/Erratum: Published to correct significant factual, typographical, or scientific errors that do not invalidate the overall findings of the article.

Correction Process

• Requests for corrections must be submitted to the Editorial Office with appropriate justification.
• Corrections are reviewed by the Editor before publication.
• Approved corrections are published as a separate notice linked permanently to the original article.
• The original article remains available with a clear indication that a correction has been issued.

Post-Publication Corrections

Authors are encouraged to notify the journal immediately if they identify significant errors in their published work. JMR will take appropriate action to correct the published record in a timely and transparent manner.

Ethical Compliance

JMR follows the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding corrections, amendments, and maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.
