Authorship Policy

The Journal of Mountain Research (JMR) follows internationally accepted principles of authorship and contributorship to ensure transparency, accountability, and research integrity. Authorship should reflect significant intellectual contributions to the research work and manuscript preparation.

Criteria for Authorship

Authors should have made substantial contributions to one or more of the following:

Conception and design of the research work.
Data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation.
Preparation of the manuscript or critical revision for important intellectual content.
Approval of the final version of the manuscript.
Accountability for the accuracy, integrity, and scientific validity of the published work.

Responsibilities of Authors

All authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.
All authors share responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the published research.
Authors must disclose conflicts of interest, if any.
The submitted manuscript must be original and not under consideration by another journal.

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal during submission, peer review, revision, and publication. The corresponding author must ensure that all authors have approved the manuscript and agree with its submission.

Changes in Authorship

Any addition, removal, or change in the order of authors after manuscript submission requires written consent from all authors and approval from the Editor. Requests for authorship changes must include appropriate justification.

Guest, Gift, and Ghost Authorship

JMR does not allow guest authorship, gift authorship, or ghost authorship. Individuals who have not made significant contributions to the research should not be listed as authors.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Authorship

Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Authors remain responsible for all content submitted to JMR and must disclose significant use of AI tools according to the journal’s Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy.

Authorship Disputes

Any authorship-related disputes will be handled according to the journal’s publication ethics policy and the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
